DJ Clint and MC Brook Prepare For A Wedding Reception
Aaron Burger Photography contracted Brook and me for his wedding to the lovely and musically knowledgeable Suzanne. We met for some record shopping and drinks, adding tons of new vinyl to each of our collections. Their eclectic music list introduced me to some great wedding reception music. The Groovy Vinyl Package was the perfect setup for their special day. We had a blast getting ready for their reception and celebrating with them! Congratulations, Aaron and Suzanne!
Jay and Gami have Rockstar Wedding Reception with K.C. Vinyl DJs on 30 April 2011
Jay composed a 10 minute jam for his fiancee, gave me the backing track of drums and bass, and jammed out on his guitar as a surprise for her just after they were married. This was one of the many amazing moments I have shared with brides and grooms. I brought the Groovy Vinyl Package to Liberty Hall in Lawrence, KS, plus my Mackie production and recording mixer to allow him an input for his guitar and optional microphone. We hosted their wedding party on stage for dinner while hiding in the background behind the curtains, then moved out to the dance floor inch by inch. We had 6 uplights on the walls surrounding the crowd and a $100,000 sound system to play through. See the dj packages page for details on the Liberty Hall special pricing. Congratulations, Jay and Gami!

"That was a great night. Thanks for all you and Brad did to make it awesome! I really appreciate it. This video you guys took was the icing on the cake as far as I'm concerned."
How to Wrap Your DJ Speaker Cables and Extension Cords Properly
Wrapping cables may seem trivial to you, but simply flipping coils around your elbow can cause twists that lead to cable failure. Take the time to learn this simple method and you will never again be frustrated by kinked and twisted cables. Bad cable treatment leads to huge knots and tangles, which drives this DJ crazy. When I get to a gig, all the cables just throw out like they are meant to. Watch, learn, then teach.
